Power BI/Fabric Technical Consultant
  • Transition and Implementation:
    • Guide the transition from Tableau/Alteryx to Power BI/Fabric, ensuring seamless data migration (including data governance and quality control), report conversion, and system integration.
    • Develop and execute a detailed project plan, addressing all technical and operational aspects of the implementation.
    • Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify data sources, user requirements, and success metrics.
    • Assist in Configuration and deployment of the Power BI/Fabric environment within the existing Microsoft 365 infrastructure, adhering to best practices for security and governance.
 
  • Change Management and User Adoption:
    • Facilitate change management processes by creating comprehensive training materials and conducting workshops tailored to different user groups within the organization.
    • Develop support strategies and documentation to ensure smooth user adaptation and ongoing platform utilization.
    • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, setting realistic timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking project progress through regular reporting.
 
  • Problem-Solving and Expertise:
    • Provide expertise in problem-solving and decision-making, especially in scenarios unique to the health services sector and our client's specific context.
    • Actively identify and propose solutions to potential integration and migration challenges and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide insights on Fabric and Power BI industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements and future improvements.
 
  • Deliverables:
    • Transition and Implementation Plan: A comprehensive plan outlining steps for data migration, system integration, user training, and success measurement.
    • Training and Documentation Suite: Tailored training materials and user guides for different user groups and their specific needs.
    • Monthly Progress Reports: Regular reports summarizing project status, challenges, solutions, and recommendations.
    • Data Migration and System Integration Report: A detailed report documenting the migration process from Tableau/Alteryx to Power BI/Fabric.
    • Post-Implementation Review Document: An evaluation of the transition's effectiveness, including identified areas for improvement and optimization strategies.
 
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Proven experience: Demonstrated success in leading data transformation and analytics projects, particularly with Power BI, Fabric, and related Microsoft technologies.
    • Domain expertise: Experience managing internal projects encompassing ERP, HRIS, or
    • Financial Information Systems, preferably in the health services or non-profit sectors.
    • Transition experience: Prior experience in transitioning organizations from Tableau/Alteryx to Power BI/Fabric is highly desirable.
    • Project management skills: Strong abilities in project planning, execution, coordination, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Global experience: Familiarity with managing projects across multiple countries and time zones, respecting cultural and operational diversity.

Compensation, Diversity and Benefit Information:
The pay range for this position in Washington is $55 - $85/hr.; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
