About our client:
Our client is an American video game developer, publisher, hardware, and digital distribution company located in Bellevue, Washington. It is the developer of the top software distribution platform in the world. In addition, they create hardware and VR devices. This company was founded by ex-Microsoft employees in 1996 and is currently one of the most renowned game companies in the world. They work under a flat organizational structure.

About the role:
We are looking for internal Helpdesk technicians with System Administration experience who enjoy working closely with customers and have strong problem solving skills across a wide variety of system types. This role supports all internal employees, enabling them to ship new and exciting products. Candidates should be excited about learning new technologies and be willing to ask questions.

What you will do:
  • Triage Helpdesk tickets.
  • Work directly with users to resolve issues.
  • Document resolutions to tickets.
  • Keep inventory of hardware and peripherals. This includes recommending and testing cool new hardware.
  • Maintain shared office resources: Printers, Conference Rooms, Play Test areas, phones, and other miscellaneous systems we might set up as needed.
  • Deploy desks and PC's for new hires.
  • Set up PC’s, peripherals, and AV equipment for events.
  • Image and configure PCs.
  • Contribute to internal troubleshooting documentation.
  • Maintain tidiness and organization of Helpdesk lab and warehouse.
  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and work within all parts of a Windows Domain environment, including Exchange.
  • Ability and willingness to take on additional projects while still making sure all Help Desk duties are taken care of.
  • Operate as a tier zero agent, able to work on tickets across all levels of complexity with a willingness to step out of your comfort zone and learn something new.
  • Improve upon and add to helpdesk and domain systems and process by working on self-managed and/ or assigned projects.

What makes you a good fit:
  • 4 years of experience with customer facing IT/Helpdesk, including desk-side and Windows Domain System Administration responsibilities.
  • Troubleshooting, Maintaining, Installing, and Configuring Windows 10 systems and images (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Linux, and/or MacOS is a bonus).
  • Experience with Active Directory user management, Exchange and mail user management, Windows Domain management, Software Troubleshooting, Hardware Troubleshooting, Network Troubleshooting.
  • Experience building Custom Desktop Gaming Computers.
  • Curiosity and interest in technology, with a love of learning.
  • Bonus for experience configuring DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network equipment.
  • Bonus for also administering and/or setting up servers for other purposes, such as running software, licensing, or other services.
  • Bonus for interest and experience in areas not traditionally required for Helpdesk; Coding, Advanced Enterprise Networking, Back-end WebDev, etc.
  • Familiar with the hardware components of a PC, and how to install and troubleshoot parts.
  • Able to use basic hand tools and is comfortable installing and working with hardware components.
  • Experience imaging systems with Windows 10 Operating System (Bonus with Linux/Unix, MacOS, and/or Windows Server).
  • Familiarity and experience with troubleshooting TCP/IP stack, DNS, DHCP, and network equipment.
  • Follow and maintain set processes and standards, while also flexible enough to collaborate on creation of new processes, as well as iterate and improve on existing processes.
  • Reliable and able to manage own time. Strong time management skills are vital to success in our environment.
  • Able to work independently to prioritize tickets, use available resources to research, and resolve unfamiliar issues.
  • Outstanding customer service.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to lift 30lbs, bend, stoop, crawl under desks, lift overhead, and perform light to moderate labor tasks.
  • Familiar with Windows Domains, ability to troubleshoot Domain system issues and configure accounts and settings within it.
  • Demonstrable curiosity for technology and how underlying systems works. Candidates must be able to prove they are motivated to seek technical understanding beyond the immediate needs of the problem at hand, as well as possess the deeper knowledge expected to have already been gained from one who has this quality.
