About our client and the position:
We are helping our family-owned, award-winning, national apparel and accessories supplier client find a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Software Development Project Manager to join their exceptional team. The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. They may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.  A major focus of this position involves proactive interfacing between the technical architecture team and the technical/programming staff to ensure effective definition of and delivery of infrastructure projects and business applications.

This is a contract-to-hire role starting as soon as possible, converting to FTE with our client after 3-6 months.

What you will do:
  • Manage projects related to the implementation and maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 program including product support, upgrades, enhancements and bug fixes within an Agile environment
  • Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
  • Manage business and stakeholder expectations
  • Establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships
  • Lead design sessions and review sessions with technical and business staffs, including all levels of management
  • Unravel, define and document complex technical or business requirements and processes
  • Track, communicate and resolve open issues

What makes you a good fit:
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical project manager
  • Experienced in managing software development teams for small and large projects; specific experience with technical infrastructure project desired
  • Competency across a range of project management tools, including Smartsheet, MS Project, MS Office, Visio, decision-making, risk and opportunity analysis
  • Competency with Jira and Smartsheet, a plus
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS, e.g., SQL Server, Oracle
  • Ability to portray a positive attitude at all times; motivate and lead others
  • Apt at interacting with many different skill sets and roles within the company
  • Demonstrates ability to work on multiple projects at a time and potentially switch projects as necessary, maintaining a strong quality focus on each
  • Demonstrated success self-managing in times of stress, and independently making timely decisions in alignment with business goals
  • Ability to professionally drive change and process improvement in a loosely structured environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related experience preferred
