Our Practice Manager for Cloud Services is responsible for providing clients with guidance in Microsoft 365 Cloud Services and Modern Workplace and value strategy, digital transformation, process and system governance, security and compliance and adoption. These responsibilities include performing functions to identify and solve complex business, organizational and technical challenges while defining and improving associated processes. Practice Managers manage and lead engagements - managing client expectations, consultant billing, resource planning and allocation, delivery oversight and other day to day operational activities. Additionally, Practice Managers play a “pivotal” role in the business development process, working to develop proposals including project estimation, scope of work, success metrics, staffing models and more.
What you will do:
Develop, manage and promote the Cloud Services Practice area while maintaining billable target
75% client focus, 25% Practice area development focus
Identify new business opportunities, generate ideas for additional service offerings and set direction for Practice growth
Own client engagements including project oversight and client satisfaction
Provide M365 cloud technology subject matter expertise, solution engineering and delivery leadership in support of client organizations and their organizational objectives
Support the Practice’s M365 Solutions Consultants who are responsible for assessing, designing, building, testing and creating technical documentation for the implementation, support and migration of enterprise messaging and collaboration toolsets to M365
Support the Practice’s M365 Power Platform Solutions Consultants who are responsible for the design, development and testing of Power Apps and Power Automate flows, as well as creating solution documentation for both the business and technical audience
Drive the development of work products including presentations and reports at both the working and executive levels
Develop client-facing materials including pitch decks, estimations, and proposals with Microsoft Office tools
Develop engagement specific approaches to Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure strategies, technology transformations, security and compliance, business application process improvements, and continued managed support
Build relationships with all appropriate client project stakeholders to ensure project success
Leverage personal and collective team subject matter expertise to drive best practice-based solutions
Provide guidance to a team of consultants in support of engagement delivery
Participate in recruiting process and candidate selection
Support Account teams with proper information and tools to sell engagements within the Practice area
Support the Director of Delivery in managing consulting engagements
Maintain awareness of industry and Microsoft 365 best practices and business levers for their Practice area
Define methods, processes and standards for Pivotal and promote a training curriculum for consultants staffed on engagements within their Practice area
Manage project’s budget to actuals and serve in Project QA role for all engagement projects within their Practice area
Develop case studies, training materials, author blogs and articles and represent Pivotal on panels, webinars, speaking engagements, etc. as a Subject Matter Expert in respective Practice area
Manage and grow team of consultants including career development and mentorship as well as performance evaluations
What makes you a good fit:
10+ years’ technology leadership experience including business and cloud solutions
Awareness of business drivers and industry best practices within Cloud Technology Solutions
Experience delivering large/complex M365 Cloud Solutions within medium and enterprise organizations
Experience migrating to M365 from various platforms and pdate legacy forms and workflows to their modern, cloud-based counterparts, including Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Forms and Lists
Experience delivering solutions for client organizations through complex solutions/projects with heavy client interaction
Track record of building cloud technology business through a combination of new logo wins and expansion of existing engagements / clients
Deep understanding of on-prem/online M365 products including Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Groups, Power Platform, OneDrive and Teams
Knowledge of Azure, cloud solutions architecture, related technologies, and interdependencies
Awareness of Microsoft MDM tools - Intune, Azure Identity and Rights Management, and Enterprise Mobility Suite.
Experience building, developing, and retaining talented teams with advisory and technology skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to quickly understand client needs and be able to articulate Practice area features and value
Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, organized, innovative and creative mindset
Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results
Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team
Proven track record of client satisfaction within identified Practice area
