The impact you will have:
As a People Ops Specialist, you will be responsible for managing both strategic planning responsibilities and administrative tasks in every area of People Ops, including compensation, benefits, employee training, and assisting with limited talent acquisition/recruiting activities.

What you'll do:
  • Manage and run payroll, develop and administer benefits and employment policies.
  • Partner with leadership team to develop or improve People Ops processes and systems. 
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and agencies and recommended best practices; review policies to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Lead employee onboarding, offboarding procedures and exit interviews, and ensure employees have what they need to be successful.
  • Advise and provide support on employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and leaders.
  • Support the development of organizational culture, including leading employee activities.
  • As needed, assist with recruiting and Talent Acquisition activities, including candidate communications and interview scheduling.
What makes you a good fit:
  • Experience with multi-state benefits and tax administration
  • Experience with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS, ATS and other systems
  • 3+ years of HR generalist and payroll administration experience
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills - an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
  • Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team
  • Takes pride in work and creating a polished product
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Proactive individual with strong drive, ambition, and enthusiasm
