We are seeking a Marketing Manager I, to join our team.  In this role, you will work directly with our AAA title gaming client and be responsible for market research, competitive analysis (70%), and brand management (30%) for one of the most popular racing video games in the industry . Additionally, you will manage key tasks with the client’s promotions program, competitive intelligence, and programs for the franchise.  To accomplish these goals, you will partner with internal staff, as well as outside vendors (consultants and agencies), in customer research and competitive analysis efforts.  Lastly, you will gather and apply market research and make recommendations for sustaining and/or increasing the viability of existing and future products and services.  This role is an 18-month contract.  Work is normally done onsite at our client's Redmond, WA campus.  However, due to COVID-19, the role will initially begin via telecommuting.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform Market Research. 
  • Provide SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis.
  • Review 3rd party Market Research.
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate, aggregate and communicate competitive intelligence to the broader franchise team.
  • Review promotional requests for completeness and route for approval.
  • Support the Marketing Franchise Management team lead in tracking selected franchise management programs and communicate project status and schedule.
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate, aggregate and communicate competitive intelligence to the broader franchise team.
  • Build and administrate the franchise management portal under the direction of franchise leadership.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and quarterly reviews.
 
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
  • Passionate about video games and the video game industry.
  • CAPM and/or CSM certification is highly desired.
  • Solid grasp of essential business and fiscal principles with a bottom-line awareness.
  • Be comfortable working with creative and non-creative team members.
  • Great customer service awareness and orientation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strategic planning, project management, and solid problem-solving abilities is required.
 
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
  • A BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications is required for this role.
  • 4+ years of experience working in marketing.
  • 2+ years of experience with Excel and able to sort through large datasets.
  • 1+ year of experience with consumer research is required. 
  • 1+ year of experience in competitive intelligence research is required. 
  • 1+ years of Marketing Project Management and/or Marketing Project Coordination.
  • 1+ year of experience working in marketing of video games is highly desired.
  • 1+ years of experience with brand management is highly desired.
