Pivotal Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Migration Test Analyst to support enterprise data migration initiatives into Snowflake within an Azure environment. This role focuses on validating data accuracy, completeness, integrity, and transformation as data moves from legacy systems into modern cloud platforms.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data validation, ETL/ELT testing, source-to-target reconciliation, SQL analysis, data quality testing, and automated testing. Experience with Alteryx is highly preferred.

The pay range for this position in Washington is $45-$60/hr. W2 plus benefits; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.

What we are looking for:
Pivotal Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Migration Test Analyst to support enterprise data migration initiatives into Snowflake within an Azure environment. What you will do:
- Design and execute testing strategies for data migration and modernization projects.
- Validate source-to-target mappings, transformations, and business rules.
- Perform reconciliation testing to ensure migrated data is complete and accurate.
- Write and run SQL queries to validate large datasets.
- Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test evidence.
- Test ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion processes.
- Develop automated validation scripts and reusable testing frameworks.
- Investigate and document data issues, defects, and reconciliation exceptions.
- Support functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Business stakeholders to resolve data issues.
- Validate reports, dashboards, and analytics outputs in Snowflake.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and defect triage.
What makes you a good fit:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse, ETL, or Data Quality Testing.
- Experience with enterprise data migration and cloud-based platforms.
- Strong source-to-target reconciliation and data validation experience.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of data quality and data governance concepts.
Preferred qualifications:
- Alteryx Designer or Alteryx Server experience.
- Experience building automated data validation workflows in Alteryx.
- Experience with QuerySurge or similar comparison tools.
- Experience with legacy platforms such as SQL Server, Teradata, or enterprise EDW systems.
- Background in Financial Services, Banking, Lending, or Wealth Management.
- Basic Python scripting for testing automation.
- Experience validating Power BI datasets or Azure analytics solutions.
