What we are looking for:
Pivotal Consulting is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner to support a Seattle-area credit union in advancing its Agile maturity and delivering high-impact digital and operational initiatives. This consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, product owners, and leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and value delivery.
What you will do:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure alignment with Agile principles.
Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile frameworks, primarily Scrum, with flexibility to apply Kanban or hybrid approaches where appropriate.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs, clear prioritization, and well-defined user stories.
Identify and remove impediments to team progress, escalating when necessary.
Drive continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and team coaching.
Promote collaboration across business and technology teams, especially within regulated financial services environments.
Support Agile transformation efforts, including training, workshops, and stakeholder alignment.
Track and communicate team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and burn-down charts.
What makes you a good fit:
Required:
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or similar).
Experience working in financial services, banking, or credit unions preferred.
Demonstrated ability to coach teams and influence without authority.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven track record of improving team delivery and Agile maturity.
Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
Experience in consulting environments or client-facing roles.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in financial institutions.
Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Compensation, Diversity and Benefit Information: The pay range for this position in Washington is $50-$65/hr. W2 plus benefits; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
