The impact you will have:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Workday and UKG (formerly Kronos) Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients implementing, optimizing, and integrating their Workday and UKG systems. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge of both platforms, a strong understanding of HR processes, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting & Analysis: Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and UKG, providing strategic advice and best practices to clients. Analyze business requirements and conduct gap analyses to align system capabilities with client needs.
- Implementation & Configuration: Lead or support the full lifecycle of Workday and UKG implementations, including system design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Integration: Develop, test, and troubleshoot integrations between Workday, UKG, and other third-party systems.
- Data Management: Assist clients with data conversion, migration, and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communication. Proactively identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Training & Support: Provide training to clients and internal teams on system functionalities and new features. Offer post-go-live support and troubleshooting.
- Optimization: Work with clients to identify opportunities for system optimization and process improvement to maximize the value of their Workday and UKG investments.
What you will do:
- Act as a hands-on Workday and UKG leader and super-user. Maintain Workday and UKG security design, configuration, business processes, workflow, and system administration.
- Assist in validating and defining system requirements for Workday and UKG.
- Configure Workday and UKG business processes and determine best practices in entering and maintaining system data.
- Manage and maintain all data integrations between Workday and UKG.
- Perform detailed integration testing for Workday and UKG.
- Support a variety of cross-functional HR Operations projects/initiatives, serving as a resource and liaison with IT, Finance and HR.
- Analyze and recommend process, workflow, and systems improvements.
- Collaborate with HR leaders on strategy, budgets, and deployment. Partner with multiple functional areas within HR to align priorities and resources to ensure that goals and objectives across the team are met.
- Drive discipline throughout our HRIS and business processes to ensure a consistent and repeatable experience for stakeholders.
- Own the delivery, documentation, and effectiveness of core HR operations of processes, systems of record, and communication protocols with other functions such as Finance, Payroll, and Communications.
- Develop a plan, including key performance indicators and interdependencies, to optimize Workday and UKG across the department.
- Contribute to the creation of HR strategy and roadmaps with respect to HRIS and cross functional collaborations.
- Document systems and processes; develop user documentation as needed.
- Troubleshoot the deep details of an issue and resolve problems from end-to-end.
- Assist in other data/development needs for Workday and UKG environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What makes you a good fit:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of consulting industry or professional services experience with a focus on Workday and/or UKG.
- Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle Workday and/or UKG implementations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of Workday experience configuring and/or supporting HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Performance Management, Compensation, and Payroll required.
- Experience with both API and file-based integrations and the security associated with each preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Workday: Strong functional knowledge of core Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Absence, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits). Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIBs, and Report Writer is highly desirable.
- UKG: Strong functional knowledge of UKG Pro, UKG Workforce Central (WFC) or UKG Dimensions. Experience with pay rules, accruals, and advanced scheduling is a plus.
- Integrations: Experience with API integrations, web services, and various integration tools.

- Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Relevant Workday or UKG certifications are a significant advantage.

Compensation, Diversity and Benefit Information:
The pay range for this position in Washington is $50 - $70/hr.; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
